Expert Housing & Development Solutions
Landarm is led by Alastair Morris, a property developer with over 30 years’ experience across planning, development and delivery.
His experience spans the full development lifecycle — from sales and land acquisition through to planning, funding, construction and delivery at senior leadership level. He has worked across both large and smaller organisations, managing projects from initial concept through to completion, including navigating challenges, restructuring schemes and implementing recovery strategies where required.
This breadth of experience provides a detailed understanding of how development projects operate in practice — commercially, technically and operationally. It includes direct involvement in sales strategy, land transactions, planning negotiations, construction delivery, health and safety, and project management.
Alongside this, Alastair brings a strong understanding of development finance, including senior debt, mezzanine funding, equity structures and joint ventures, as well as practical experience of contractual arrangements such as JCT.
He has also worked closely with legal teams and counsel on complex matters, including land constraints and development disputes, and has provided evidence in the High Court. This experience supports the resolution of issues that can otherwise prevent schemes from progressing.
This hands-on background underpins Landarm’s approach. Rather than a purely theoretical view, advice is grounded in real-world delivery — reflecting the pressures of cost, programme, funding and market conditions.
The focus is simple: to provide clear, commercially realistic advice that supports planning, strengthens negotiations and helps unlock value in a scheme.
Alongside consultancy, Alastair continues to promote and manage his own development projects, ensuring his advice remains current and aligned with the realities of the market.
